Spain Trip 2013

Kile, Kiley, and I went to Spain in May.  My brother, Kevin and his wife, Camille went with us also.  Kevin had served his mission in Spain and when his mission was over, I went to Spain with Kevin and some of my family members in 2005.

Kiley was fascinated with Spain and really wanted to go.  We told her, if she learned how to speak Spanish, we would go to Spain when she graduated from high school.  Well, 8 years later, it was time to go back to Spain.  Here are some pictures from our trip.

The view from our hotel room in Castelldefels, located about 20 minutes outside Barcelona.  We rode the train in to Barcelona each day and then came back each night to Castelldefels.

Castle on the hill in Castelldefels.

This is the City Bus Tour in Barcelona.  We purchased a 2 day pass that allowed us to ride the bus all over the city to see various landmarks.  We had headphones so we could hear all the cool facts about the different sights we visited.  We got on and off the bus at different spots we wanted to explore and then got back on the bus to head to our next location.  This is the best and cheapest way to see all the landmarks in the city.

Bull Ring in Barcelona--no longer in use.

Location of the Olympics that took place in Spain in 1992.

Catalan Flag outside an apartment in Barcelona.

These bikes were everywhere.  They can be rented for a year at a time, and are used by many people to get around the city

These "Human Statues"  were on the Rhambla and when people gave them money, they would pose for a picture.

More pictures of Barcelona coming soon......
