Ridin' the Rails

On Saturday, we took a trip to Heber to go for a train ride.
There was a re-enactment of a train robbery.

We put our hands in the air when the bandit told us to.
It was a three hour train ride. It was a lot of fun.
After the train ride, we ate at the Dairy Keen.

Back to School Hair

Madee added some colored tips and a streak to her hair for a fun new look this school year. Hopefully this won't be a problem when she gets to school.

Kiley got her hair colored also.

Over the Weekend...

We went to the Gardener's Market and bought these. I have several zucchini recipes that I am going to try. Look for those over on my other blog in the next few days. The Gardener's Market was fun. The girls and I are going to go again, this time we will leave Destrie home with Kile since he was not a fan of the whole thing.

We rode up to Bug Lake. We got caught in a rainstorm for about 3 miles, but other than that it was a perfect day for riding. Not too hot and not dusty thanks to the rain.

We went to the Demolition Derby. When they threw T shirts out in to the crowd- I caught one!

It was a good weekend. I wish it was always the weekend and I wish that the kids weren't going back to school in 2 days...

Destrie loved posing with the mannequins @ Forever 21.

Fair and Rodeo Pictures

Last week, we took Destrie to the fair and the rodeo.

Of course, we had to get cotton candy.

We saw a lot of animals.

It was a ton of fun! And if I may say so, Destrie is the cutest little cowboy I have ever seen!

Swimming Lessons

We have spent the last two weeks doing swimming lessons for Destrie. The first week he did level 1. He sailed through it and was never scared. He moved on to level 2 the following week and he did pretty good. He's almost ready to pass that one. We did the 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. lesson and this worked out great. It was a good reason to get up early and the class sizes were small.

Training

Kile and I have signed up to run the Wasatch Back Relay again next June. When I did it this year, I realized that I was about 50% as ready as I should have been. Having said that, I am starting to train now and I am going to "rock" this race next year. The Ragnar website has a beginner training schedule and an intermediate training schedule. I am going to start with the beginner schedule and work my way through both schedules.

Random Thoughts

This weekend was our 20 year high school reunion. Ya,I said it 20 years.

#1 I can't believe it's been that long.
#2 I can't possibly be that old.
#3 It was fun catching up with old friends
#4 Seriously, where did the time go?

What else can I possibly say?
