I must be getting old...

The other night we were watching TV.
A commercial came on for a Maybelline, Age Eraser/Rejuvenating Eye product. Destrie looks at me and says, "Mom, you should get that, because when you lay down, there are a bunch of wrinkles all around." (And he points to his eyes.)
Fabulous, my child thinks I look old. Maybe it's time for a trip to the store to buy this product...
On a side note- I probably won't go buy it, but if I do, I'll let you know if it works!

discussions on death, cremation, and so forth

so last night i had the most random conversation with my mom...we were sitting in the kitchen when all of a sudden she asks me what color of a casket i would get her when she dies. i said black and she said good answer. after a few more totally out of the ordinary questions she said, or you could just cremate me and save some money. i said yea and then what? put you in a vase above my fireplace? then you'd fall and spill all over the place and i'd freak out! to this she said nah, just vacuum me up :) haha we laughed soooo hard

Happy Hour Makes Everything Better.

Things I love about a route 44 diet Coke from Sonic:

* It hits the spot when your having a bad day.
* It's really big and when you are always thirsty like me, this is a plus.
* I love the ice in Sonic drinks- I really can't explain, I just like it.
* It's just 99 cents, any time of day, you can't beat that! (I have a happy hour anytime sticker.)

No fear

During the winter, we have had deer in our yard for several years. Normally they have just hung out in the field East of our house, as the years have passed though, they have gotten braver and braver. The backyard has now become a new favorite spot for them in the past couple years. The other morning when I headed out to go to preschool, there were 10 deer in the backyard! Saturday morning the deer walked up the steps and were on my back porch- looking at us through the glass doors! They weren't even afraid. They just stood there and looked at us.

It never ends

Ok, so I have to just vent for a minute. The dental insurance at Kile's work is not great. We had it for awhile, but it cost more than the good it was doing us. We decided to drop it and just pay our own dental bills. Well, we almost just got all our dental stuff paid off and now today the orthodontist tells Kiley she needs her wisdom teeth out so that her beautiful teeth that we paid for don't get crooked again.
