Final Post of the Year

As we say Goodbye to 2010, I just wanted to say that this past year has been great and I am looking forward to another year of fun adventures with family and friends.

Christmas Eve was a ton of fun.  We watched "Christmas Story", had yummy food and slushy drinks.  Madee played some Christmas songs for us on the piano and Destrie told us the story of "The Mitten".  Next we watched "Christmas Vacation" and then it was time to open our presents.  Our family draws names each year and then we get a present for whose name we got.

Sweet 16

Happy Birthday to Kiley on 12-12 10!!  She is now 16 years old.  She celebrated by taking her three bestest friends to our condo at Bear Lake on Friday night.  The night involved pizza, mint chocolate chip ice cream, movies, singing, swimming and staying up until 4:00 a.m.

On Saturday, the girls went snowboarding at Beaver Mountain. 

Destrie and I hung out at the condo while the girls were snowboarding and then we had lunch at Cafe Sabor.

Kiley had her family birthday dinner at Wingers and got Sticky Fingers, which are her favorite.  Happy Birhtday Kiley!!! We love you much!

And last, but not least,  On Monday morning we went bright and early to the DMV to get her drivers license!!!

Making Friends

The last couple of weeks, Destrie has not been thrilled about going to preschool.  He is one of the oldest kids in his class and he has done preschool like 4 times already- I wish he could have went to kindergarten this year, but that's another story.  Anyway, he has one little boy in his class that is his bestest pal (thank goodness for him) but, Destrie isn't too good of friends with anyone else.  This morning, I was trying to get him excited for going to school  and I mentioned to him that maybe he could try and make some more friends at school. To which he replied, "Like what?  Out of cardboard or something?"
