So I have several thoughts about dirt lately. 1) We have no "good" dirt at our house. We have plenty of rocks though, if anyone would like some! I swear these things reproduce in our yard, or so it would seem. In order to put our yard back together we had to haul in a load of topsoil- and it's not cheap- 200+ dollars later we have a whole pile of dirt. In my world, people should not have to buy dirt. Anyway, this dirt pile is Destrie's new favorite thing. Every day he says, "Can I go play on the dirt hill?" He loves it. So, everyday he is filthy dirty and all I do is wash and rewash his shoes-good thing he has 4 pair to rotate through! And socks, he has pretty much ruined all of those, I can't get those white again. Time to buy new socks I suppose. Not having a boy until now, I have missed out on all the fun things boys do. Playing in the dirt is one of those things and so no matter how dirty he gets or how much more work it makes for me, I will continue to let him be a boy and play in the dirt!My 2nd thought about dirt will be on my next post. Until then, let's go play in the dirt!
