A Winner

This morning, we were up early to hear Madee being wished a Happy Birthday on Kix 96.7
Right after they announced the birthdays, they announced that they were giving away concert tickets for Leigh Ann Womack or Neal McCoy to the first callers. Just for kicks, I told Madee to call and ask for Neal McCoy tickets.

The first call- busy.
Second call- busy.
Third call- it rings!!

I hear Madee say, "Have you gotten rid of the Neal McCoy tickets yet?" The radio announcer asks her how many tickets she would like, she tells them my name and Yay! we won the tickets! Those of you who know me, know that I am not in to country music. I was back in the day, but that's another story. I did have a Neal McCoy CD about 10 years ago so I could totally get in to seeing him in concert and I could probably sing along to a few songs.

We got online to find out where the concert was and it turns out it is in Wendover. So, Madee won tickets to a concert she can't even go to...no one under 21 admitted. Although it was Madee's birthday, I ended up getting a present.

Ragnar Wasatch Back Relay 2010

The Wasatch Back is a relay race from Logan to Park City, totaling 188 miles. We ran this last weekend. We had a team made up of 12 members. Six people were in Van #1 and six people were in Van #2-which was our group. We had very little sleep or food during this race, but we had a ton of fun! Can't wait to do it again next year.

Our awesome team...Van#2...runners 7-12

Yellowstone Vacation

We just got back from a trip to Yellowstone. We saw some great scenery.

Old Faithful

My brother Jon and his family joined us for part of our trip.

Destrie wanted his picture taken by every animal statue that he saw. I have about 20 more pictures like this with different animals!

We had a lot of fun.

We saw a lot of these,

Several of these,

And 2 of these.

At the Bear and Wolf Discovery Center

Kile, Destrie and me.

Me and the kids.

The girls got cute hats.

If you go to Yellowstone this year...there is some construction going on, plan on delays coming and going from the park.

Something I never thought I would see...

On Monday Destrie and I took a road trip to Delta. It was my first trip to Delta.
We stayed at the Rancher Motel. It only cost $40 a night to stay there. Can you believe that? The room was clean and comfortable, but the decor took me back to the 1970's.

Me and the boy made this trip to watch Kiley "show" a pig at the Millard County Stock Show. Yep, that's right...I did say Kiley. She did an amazing job and I was really proud of her. It's not something I thought she would ever do. I am a farm girl from Clarkston and I have never done anything like that. She had a ton of fun with her friend Emmy and her family and new stock show friends. Rumor has it that Kiley and Madee will be "showing" pigs at the state fair next...
