Easter Weekend

This weekend was super busy!  We took Destrie to the Easter Egg Hunt and then it was off to the Bunny Trail at our local grocery store where he got his picture taken with the Easter Bunny.

Kiley participated in the Health Days scholarship program and had a great time.  She says she thinks she'll try again next year.  We were very proud of her.
Our family with Grandpa Stan and Grandma and Grandpa Godfrey

The Easter Bunny brought a Light Sabor  for Destrie.  Madee and Kiley got Harry Potter 7 along with a money filled easter egg.  And of course there was candy.  Destrie got us all out of bed at 6:30 so we headed back to bed for a little more sleep-he had to take his new toy with him!

We finally got around to coloring eggs on Sunday afternoon after going to lunch at Grandma and Grandpa Godfrey's house.

And, Kile's dad brought me these beautiful flowers.

Junior Prom 2011

Kiley went to Jr. Prom on Saturday.  The date consisted of a day date to Crystal Hot Springs, dinner at The Coppermill, the Dance, and a Movie afterwards.  They had a lot of fun.
Make sure to take a look at Kiley's bracelet and earrings.  We bought her dress at Dillards and entered a drawing to win  the jewelry set.  She won!  We were super excited!  They told us the set was worth $150...pretty lucky.

Basketball

Destrie is loving playing basketball right now.  Several times a day, he runs outside, dribbles, runs, and shoots the basketball.  He even has way to play basketball downstairs- using a section of the couch as the basket!  I love his energy and wish some of it would rub off on me.

Pizza, Anyone?

Kiley got a a job!!!  At this lovely place...

She is one of the Pasta girls.
Her first day is Monday and she is super excited!  We have never eaten here, I think it is fairly new to Utah.  I hear there are several in Idaho though.  Can't wait to take the family in and check it out.

I had to laugh...Kiley was required to buy new shoes for her job.

She thinks they are the ugliest things she has ever seen.  She's not used to be told what to wear and how to do her hair...which will be in a pony tail when she goes to work.  This is  going to be a good experience for her.

Oh, the memories of when I had my first job... but that's a story for another day.

Special Delivery

Yesterday, there was a knock at the door.  When I opened the door, there stood a mail carrier from the U.S. Postal Service.

He asked if Kiley was here and I went to get her.  He proceeded to tell her that he had a delivery for her, that she needed to sign for.

He handed her a clipboard with a piece of paper on it that said,
"Will you go to prom with (insert boys name here.)
She checked the "YES" box and gave it back to the mail carrier who then gave her the envelope.  Which had a Symphony candy bar inside.

Kiley is super excited.  She will be going to her prom in April, and prom at another high school in May and I have yet to blog about the prom she went to in Monticello...watch for that coming soon!
