Snowboarding,Swimming,and Sledding!

On Saturday, Me and my fam and my friends Rachel and Emmy went on a snowboarding trip to Beaver Mountain. We left that morning so we had tons of time to hit the slopes. My parents and little bro. sat in the lodge all day and my sister decided to take a skiing lesson. We spent all day there and I fell getting off the lift almost every time. Its a lot harder than it looks- trust me. We all got in the car and went to our condo in Bear Lake. After we got settled in, me and my friends decided to go swimming at the resort. While we were there we met some people who invited us to go night sledding that night. So we went and one of the guys we went with got really hurt and ended up going to the hospital so that was super scary and we were so worried about him all night! It all turned out okay and he only had to get stiches. We ended up staying up really late watching Juno. The next morning we came home. It was so much fun and I wish I would have brought my camera but as always I forgot! It was so much fun and I hope I can go again soon!

New Years Eve in St. George

We spent some time in St. George with Bret and Katie and their kids. The kids had fun hot tubing and swimming. We played games, had yummy food and enjoyed catching up with our friends. Jumpin' Jack's is one of Destries favorite places to go in St. George. They have a bunch of inflatable jumping/climbing things to play on. Oh, and grownups can play too! It's a great workout.

Here We Go Again!

Destrie is at it again! Yesterday the Schwan man was here and Des ran to the door and said,"Mom why does that man have a mustache???" We didn't really have an answer for him. What are you supposed to do besides laugh and smile? Then today we were at the store and Destrie pointed to a man walking past and said loud enough for everyone to hear, "That guy has wierd hair!" The guy just kinda looked at him and kept walking. In Destrie's defence he really did have different looking hair but I wish that he wouldn't say EVERYTHING he thought outloud!

Skechers

Destrie just said the FUNNIEST thing. He came up to my mom and said,
"Will you put on my Skechers," he paused and then said, "The shoes that breathe!"
WOW that is some good advertising if a 3 year old knows your commercial catch phrase!

Vegas Vacation Part 3

Here are a few more pictures from the Vegas trip. We felt like we spent the most time at Caesars Palace-this is where our shuttle from the condo. dropped us off and picked us up. So, with Caesar's as our starting point-we would walk and walk and walk to where we were going. I love the Eiffel Tower lit up at night. The Sphinx building is also a favorite- it just looks cool. I also like the Excaliber- here we are outside the castle. MGM has a cool lion exhibit. It was fun to be underneath the lions and watch them walking around.

Boys!!!

I am learning a lot lately what it is like to raise a boy. Destrie is the cutest little man ever and I love him so much. I am finding out though that he is so much different than the girls.
For example- Yesterday Sarah was here to pick up Alec from preschool. Me and Destrie were on the porch and Destrie yells "Hey Sarah, You're a poop stick!" It was pretty funny! Sarah didn't miss a beat and called him a silly name back. (a nice one) I have no idea what made him do that. He thought he was pretty funny. I'm sure this is one of many adeventures we are going to have with Destrie. This made me remember something that Destrie did when he was about 18 months old-We were in church and the sacrament was being passed. Destrie was sitting on my lap and he was drinking the water from his cup. He had drank about half of it and then with no warning whatsoever, he threw the half full cup forward, hitting Sister Gittens in the back of the head! I could have died. Boys-you just have to love them!!!!
